We are SEW READY

Sew Ready is an award winning social enterprise based in Lisburn teaching sewing skills to community members of all ages and abilities. To us, the future of fashion is a world in where everyone gets as excited about being part of the creative process as they do about wearing a garment and in doing so, being part of a growing slow fashion movement.

Our social mission is to reintroduce a passion for sewing and textiles among young people and adults in Northern Ireland to help bridge the current skills gap within garment construction and save a skill from being lost in our generation. We are looking for someone who is passionate about helping our sewing community grow both online and in-person.

Our Culture

Sew Ready is committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments for all staff and students to work and learn – a sewing school where we can be ourselves and reach our full potential. We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds, including race, disability, age, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion and belief, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, and caring responsibility.
